One should not underestimate the importance of having good lighting in one’s life. Just think of all the benefits!
First off, it’s awful difficult to read when you have poor lighting. It’s bad for your eyes as they strain to make out the words “you are a luss”. Oh… but if you would have good lighting you would have realized that the words read “you missed the bus”.
Many of you, I am sure, like to enjoy watching movies. Of course, everyone is bothered when the lighting is not right. Some like it completely pitch black with only the light from the screen while others like a little ambient light… and no one can agree on what is the best lighting for watching movies. Then there is a weird glare in the middle of the screen. Regardless of the atmosphere, you still need good lighting from the screen or else you cannot see the picture at all.
How about traffic? Yeah, I hate driving in the rain at night. Night driving is fine, but when it rains there is always a crazy glare on the road and any headlights just make it worse. Of course more accidents happen at night… I think… I mean it only makes sense. People can’t see as far or as well and CRASH! They need good lighting.
How about dating? Yeah, yeah, you thought girls liked to have dim lighting because it’s romantic… really it is just so you cannot get a good look at them. I think we should bring in some floodlights… that way it will justify the amount of makeup that is being worn… and that goes for you too ladies.
What about getting dressed? Oh, I see, you thought the jacket was black, but it is really brown, because you don’t have the appropriate good lighting. Oh that’s orange? That’s why you have clashing colors on. I see, I see. But hey, wear what you wanna wear and be comfortable in what you are wearing. Follow your heart, that’s what I do.
We could go on and on here. It doesn’t matter if you are repairing something or eating dinner… if you can’t see what you are doing due to the lack of good lighting, you are in for serious trouble. That’s kinda like all of life, you need good lighting. You need a lamp for your feet and a light for your path. Or else you are gonna run into that tree.
So I just want to encourage you that your thoughts on what to do about having good lighting are not wasted. They are good thoughts worth thinking about.
Did you know that outside lights around your house can decrease the risk of burglarly. Just be careful how you place them cause it can make your house look haunted and then no one will ever want to come over… unless that’s the point.
So here’s to lighting up your life… maybe I will wanna come over.
