I have pajamas, they are fleece, and they are quite comfy. In fact, they are so comfy that I often wear them at our What To Do About meetings or if we have a movie night with friends on a friday night at our house.
You see, you can tell how manly a man is by what is in his pants… er, I mean what is on his pants or pj’s. My pajama pants have snowmen playing football and snowmen snow-boarding, which is weird when you think about it, but I digress.
I often get made fun of for my pj’s, but I will not stop wearing them, because they are comfy and they were free. Every year for Christmas my mother-in-law gets the family new pajamas, which is why I wear them and actually maybe the only reason I wear them.
My friends don’t understand how free fleece feels against the skin… it’s like a little piece of heaven. And maybe they don’t know how a fist feels against there face, yeah that’s right you are about to get beat down by a dude wearing snowmen making snowmen. I think it says alot about a man when he is comfortable enough to wear his jammas’ (this is how my son says it) wherever he wants.
I have 6 pair of these holiday fleece pajamas – one for every year of the tradition, well actually 5 because my wife thought she would wear mine the other night and when I tried to take them off of her, well, it turns out that she has been working out a little harder than I remember as she hung onto those jammas like an old lady with her purse. Something had to give and it was the pajamas, normally I would be excited about a pant-less wife on my couch, but this time I had a tear in my eye for my fallen pj’s. On the upside I now have a cool snowman sleeping bandana and socks. AND now she owes me a pair! I don’t run around wearing her pajamas, even though I would look quite dashing in those short pink shorts.
So the lesson is: keep out of my jammas and I will not de-pants you in front of the children or house guests again. If you want to wear pajamas then I say go for it but make sure you own them and have the brut to back them up. Sometimes silly pj’s need a little support, and if you really want to avoid your friends opinions and there company all together, just come in your boxers. It will clear the room every time!
