In case you don’t know, the most important meal of the day is also the first meal of the day. Yes, it is breakfast.  Breakfast is usually one of the most ignored meals which is a downright shame. Along with a good nights rest, a nutritious meal to start off the day should not be ignored or done without.
Breakfast foods such as eggs, pancakes, cereal, and oatmeal are some of my favorites. I am definitely the kind of person that occasionally likes to eat breakfast foods for lunch or even dinner. Just think about the many different things you can do with eggs… you can fry them, scramble them, boil them, poach them, and even add them to your morning shake or breakfast drink for extra nutrients.  Pancakes give you plenty of options too depending on what you are in the mood for, there’s blueberry pancakes, banana pancakes, buckwheat pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, and I’m sure dozens of others you probably have had. I love homemade french toast, all you need is eggs, bread, & milk and maybe 10 minutes.
Since I do not eat much pork I probably will not make ‘pigs in a blanket’ for breakfast (sausage rolled up in pancake in case you’re wondering), but someday I am going to try rolling a bunch of turkey bacon in my hot cakes, maybe I’ll call it ‘bird under the covers’ or something clever like that.
So I am not really telling you why breakfast is such an important meal, but at least by now you know what you should do about it. You should enjoy it, you should make time for some bacon and some eggs, maybe make an omelet or a pancake you’ve never had before. Do it!
