I had a rough week last week only picking 5 games correctly (out of 13 games that were played).
Below are my picks for Week #5.
San Diego at Miami
I like San Diego in this game, I think the Chargers are the better team although Miami is improving and will play them tough. I predict San Diego pulls away in the second half.
My Pick: San Diego
Tennessee at Baltimore
Two of the best defenses in the NFL will be showcased in this game, possibly the two best. I hope the Titans pull this one out but I am going to pick Baltimore since they have only allowed 6 rushing first downs all season. Tennessee is one of the best rushing teams in the league but I see Baltimore shutting them down. I predict field goals will be the bulk of the scoring in this game.
My Pick: Baltimore
Kansas City at Carolina
Carolina will run the ball well against KC, make fewer mistakes on offense and I do not think Larry Johnson will rush for 198 yards against the Panthers although he needs to have a good game for the Chiefs to have a chance in this one. I like Carolina at home!
My Pick: Carolina
Chicago at Detroit
The Bears are coming off a big win against Philly and Detroit is 0-3 but coming off their buy week. I think Chicago get a good game from Matt Forte and Devin Hester scores a TD. I predict da Bears send the Lions to 0-4, oh my.
My Pick: Chicago
Indianapolis at Houston
Indy is 1-2 which is surprising to many, including myself. The Colts should be fresh as they come off their buy week, Peyton gets them to .500 and Houston goes to 0-4.
My Pick: Indianapolis
Washington at Philadelphia
Washington are coming off a huge win over Dallas last week, while the Eagles lost a close one to Chicago. I think Washington get another big win in a close, hard-fought division game on the road.
My Pick: Washington
Seattle at N.Y. Giants
Both teams are coming off their buy week, Seattle are 1-2 and the Giants have yet to lose at 3-0. I pick the champs by a touchdown.
My Pick: N.Y. Giants
Atlanta at Green Bay
This is my surprise upset pick of the week. I think Atlanta will run all over the Packers, Michael Turner will have a huge game and Jerious Norwood will get his share of carries as well as the Falcons win the time-of-possession battle and come up with a win.
My Pick: Atlanta
Tampa Bay at Denver
I think Tampa needs to run the ball more and pass less in this game, I think they will do that. Denver will play better than they did last week against Kansas City but I think they will find moving the ball difficult much of the time against Tampa’s tough D.
My Pick: Tampa Bay
Cincinnati at Dallas
Dallas were upset by the Redskins last week and their seems to be some turmoil in the big D at the moment. My lowly Bengals have yet to win a game and lost last week to Cleveland but Carson Palmer did not play. The Bengals may get Palmer back this week and will have WR Chris Henry back in uniform as well as the newly signed Cedric Benson. Chad Johnson (Ocho Cinco) said he will kiss the star if he scores, but the Cowboys will play like this is the Super Bowl.
My Pick: Dallas
New England at San Francisco
New England are coming off their buy week and have a lot to prove after losing to Miami two weeks ago. San Fran have been playing good football this year and are 2-2 at this point. I pick the Pats to rebound this week.
My Pick: New England
Buffalo at Arizona
Marshawn Lynch and Lee Evans will each get in the end zone for the Bills. Arizona get a few TDs through the air but will lose the turnover battle.
My Pick: Buffalo
Pittsburgh at Jacksonville
Pittsburgh were knocked out of the playoffs last year by the Jags, they lose again.
My Pick: Jacksonville
Minnesota at New Orleans
Big game for Adrian Peterson on the ground, big game for the New Orleans air attack behind Brees.
My Pick: Minnesota
Week 1 – 8 correct and 7 incorrect. (15 games)
Week 2 – 9 correct and 6 incorrect. (15 games)
Week 3 – 9 correct and 7 incorrect. (16 games)
Week 4 – 5 correct and 8 incorrect. (13 games)
My overall record after 4 weeks: 31-28
