Last week I picked 9 games correctly and missed on 6 games so I improved by one game from Week 1. Below are my Week 3 picks.

Kansas City at Atlanta

Last week the Raiders had 300 yards rushing against Kansas City and so I think Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood are going to help Atlanta hold on to the ball and wear out the Chiefs defense. Kansas City are starting their 3rd different quarterback in three weeks, and they need Larry Johnson to have a big game to have a chance.

My Pick: Atlanta

Oakland at Buffalo

Buffalo looks tough, I said it last week and I’ll say it again, this team has shown great improvement and are starting to open some eyes as contenders in the AFC East. I think the Oakland running game will find it a bit more difficult this week against Buffalo compared to the previous game against Kansas City. I think Marshawn Lynch will get in the end zone at least once, but it should be a good hard fought football game.

My Pick: Buffalo

Tampa Bay at Chicago

I think this game could go either way, each team has a solid defense and below average offense in my opinion. I give Chicago the edge at home in a low scoring game.

My Pick: Chicago

Carolina at Minnesota

The Vikings have benched Tavaris Jackson and will start veteran QB Gus Frerotte instead this week. Carolina has been rolling at 2-0 and Minnesota has been underachieving at 0-2. The Panthers get WR Steve Smith back this week and I think they play well enough to win again.

My Pick: Carolina

Miami at New England

I do not think this will be a blowout, but New England’s experienced defense will keep Miami’s young offense in check.

My Pick: New England

Cincinnati at N.Y. Giants

Cincinnati’s offense has looked horrible so far this season, I think they play better this week. The Giants defense will get a few sacks and I think Brandon Jacobs has a big game against the Bengals.

My Pick: N.Y. Giants

Houston at Tennessee

Houston had their buy week last week due to damage from hurricane Ike at Reliant Stadium. Kerry Collins makes his 2nd consecutive start at QB for the Titans, I think he will have extra motivation to win in order to keep the starting job from Vince Young. I like Tennessee’s offense with Collins at QB and Chris Johnson and LenDale White running the ball.

My Pick: Tennessee

Arizona at Washington

I think both teams will score over 30 points, this should be a fun game to watch especially for those who don’t care about defense.

My Pick: Arizona

New Orleans at Denver

Denver stole the game from San Diego last week due to bad officiating, but lets face it Jay Cutler is on fire. New Orleans lost a close game last week and hope to get back on track this week. I have Cutler in my fantasy league so I’ll be rooting for him to have another big game.

My Pick: Denver

Detroit at San Francisco

Two teams that are not very good play here. I think Detroit has the better offense and San Fran has the better defense so each teams strength will be offset by the other team. I give the edge to San Francisco since they are coming off an exciting win last week against Seattle in overtime.

My Pick: San Francisco

St. Louis at Seattle

St. Louis might be the worst team in the league right now. Seattle lost last week and will rebound this week. This one’s a no brainer to me.

My Pick: Seattle

Cleveland at Baltimore

Cleveland is 0-2 and need to win this game while Baltimore are coming off a buy week so they should be fresh. I think Ravens QB Joe Flacco may struggle at some point as teams bring pressure but the Baltimore defense should help keep them in the game.

My Pick: Cleveland

Jacksonville at Indianapolis

This should be a close game as Jacksonville are 0-2 and Indy are looking to get their first home win and first win ever at Lucas Oil Stadium.

My Pick: Indianapolis

Pittsburgh at Philadelphia

I really like Philly’s offense and I really just don’t like the Steelers. If Philly keeps playing how they have been playing I think they will pull this one out.

My Pick: Philadelphia

Dallas at Green Bay

This should be an exciting game to watch, I give Dallas the edge as their offense is really rolling right now and they look like the best team in the NFC to me at this point.

My Pick: Dallas

N.Y. Jets at San Diego

San Diego is 0-2 and have lost both games in the final 25 seconds. I am going to predict that Favre pulls off some heroics in the 4th quarter this week and San Diego falls to 0-3.

My Pick: N.Y. Jets
