The first thing you must NOT do is park on anyone’s driveway, especially if it is concrete. This will keep you from getting chewed out for leaving stains everywhere. Even though there is oil in the asphalt mixture, suddenly it’s not cool to drip oil on an oil product.
The next thing you want to do is NOT cause the oil leak. You can do this by not using a screwdriver, a hammer, or any other blunt tool to remove any oil holding or oil filtering part on your car. If you do and your car leaks oil, then you broke your car and you should know how to fix it. If you don’t know how to fix it then don’t pretend to know how after you broke it.
The third thing you can do is have someone else fix it! Find a knowledgeable fellah with his head on straight and pay him with beer and get it fixed. You will be happy you did so long as you don’t break anything else in the process.
Oil is expensive and runs up a tab, especially if you are going through a quart every day. Besides that, the white smoke draws a lot of attention at stop lights. Not cool!
