I am a giver, I like to give gifts! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, that and I have no patience. My wife’s birthday was this week and of course I showered her with gifts. But I did it a whole week early. I like to give gifts.
So after I spent all my money on her, I also made sure it was here by the weekend before her birthday. I then received the package and tried not to open it. I also tried not to even look at it, but to no avail. I opened it and then gave her one gift ( I like to give gifts), I thought this would be better than giving her all of them.
The next day we went to a health and fitness expo and it was there that I got her the other gift she wanted, shoes. But she had to try them on, right? So we get home and sat down after a long day on our feet. This is where I got antsy and get up and rush to the office (where I keep gifts for giving) and grab the package and proceed to give her all of this beautiful birthday joy a week early (because I like to give gifts).
I know, I have a problem, but how do I fix it? I can tell you that I have had this problem all my life. I can remember getting into the Christmas gifts before Christmas. We would pull the tape back very slowly and lift the wrapping and try and peak at what was inside. This worked great and I always knew what I was getting. This progressed to the in-laws, I would go over there and snoop around for my gifts or hold my wife down and tickle it out of her. Which is a very effective tactic for getting information out of just about anybody. I think the military should use it, think of how much fun it would be.
So I need help, I am a compulsive giver! I like to give gifts. I know you have an opinion, i know this because there are a lot of women that read this blog i.e. opinions (get over it) so hit me with it. I really need help with this one, unlike the other crap we ask you to create conversation this is a real problem that is plaguing our country today.
