I just came back from vacation and we had a pact between us dudes. The agreement was we would grow out our mustaches and rock them all week. I had no idea the type of attention this joke would bring. I waited till the third day of my vacation to chop my beard down to a stache. The reaction from everyone was golden, there was laughter, people calling me dirty and all kinds of ruckus.

If you know anything about me, you know I don’t like to be in or near flip flops. But after a week at the lake I decided that I might be swayed to the dark side. The side that I used to make fun of, the side that told me flip flops are great. I spent an entire week without shoes or a shirt for that matter and was quite comfortable. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Even though I didn’t do any running, using public bathrooms, walking in wet grass, chasing a purse thief, driving a car, trying to date, shopping, playing any sports, and well doing anything productive.

Well it seems like you never know your tail light is out till someone tells you, like a cop. I think that cops use this as an excuse to frisk me for drugs. I think out of all the times that I had interactions with the police (25) that half of those times were for a tail light being out.

Recently I had an issue with my first generation iPhone, the screen was dead in the middle. It would not respond to my touch and it was really hard to text. This put me into a tight spot… I mean… who has money to replace a $200 phone, your right, not this guy.

Well it happened, I let her out! The wife is in Ohio for 4 days, 4 of the longest days of my life! I mean that in the most sincere way possible. I mean without her I smell bad ( dirty clothes), go hungry (I can’t flip my own eggs), I can’t sleep (because the bed is cold!).

It finally happened I successfully surprised my wife with a visit by her sister! I kept the secret for nearly two weeks, it’s quite the historic event given my lack of patience. It also was quite possibly the hardest thing I have done all year. The coolest thing was that I didn’t have to lie! I just went about my business with little or no talk of her family for about a week. Which comes really easy to me… not talking to her about her family that is.

It seems that recently I have finally acquired a taste for the spicier side of life. I say finally because ever since I have known my Italian/Mexican friends I have always wanted to experience what they did when they said “it’s the flavor not the spice that I taste”.
